At Te Moana, we believe holidays should be easy, relaxed, and full of memorable moments. Nestled in the heart of Orchid Beach, our two accommodation options offer everything you need to unwind, explore, and enjoy the northern end of K’gari at your own pace.
The Cottage is a cosy, self-contained retreat for couples or solo travellers. With a single bedroom featuring a king bed, ensuite, a well-equipped in line kitchen/lounge with dishwasher, laundry(patio), and a sheltered deck, it’s the perfect spot to recharge after a day of beach adventures or fishing.
For families or small groups, the Lower Level of the Main House offers space and flexibility with three bedrooms, 2x king(can be split) and 1xking single, a full kitchen/family room, bathroom, separate toilet, laundry, and a generous entertaining deck. It’s ideal for sharing meals, swapping stories, and soaking up the laid-back island lifestyle.
Both options come with high-speed internet, gas cooking and hot water, ample power from our stand-alone solar system and fresh linen—plus all the little extras you need for a comfortable, carefree stay. Whether you’re here to fish, explore, or simply relax with sunset drinks, Te Moana is your perfect base for discovering the best of K’gari.
Onsite caretakers for peace of mind
In a semi-remote region having onsite caretakers means there’s always someone nearby to help, ensuring your stay is smooth, safe, and completely stress‑free. They’re full of local knowledge and happy to share tips on the best fishing spots, beach conditions, and must‑see places around the northern end of K’gari.
They can also assist with practicalities like picking guests up from the airstrip, and—if you’re lucky—fire up the wood‑fired pizza oven for a relaxed island dinner. It’s personalised support that adds an extra layer of comfort and connection to your stay.
